Wilma Shannon Obituary
Wilma Rupert Shannon, 88, formerly of Mexico, MO, died at 9:15 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Bradford Villa, in Quincy, IL.
Wilma was born on August 10, 1928, in New Canton, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Lucy Dolbeare Rupert. She married James Shannon on November 8, 1952, and he preceded her death.
Her parents and a sister, Florence Williams,also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters; Becky (Jim) Fox, Melinda (Drew) Dietz and Sara Sitar; one brother, Glen (Alice) Rupert; five grandchildren, Rachel, Kara, Nathan, Adam and Alex; and three great grandchildren, Braylon, Emani and Somaya.
Wilma was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mexico, MO.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
