Roy was a member of the First Christian Church of Frankford.

Roy never knew a stranger, or at least anyone who stayed a stranger for very long. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He spent many hours coaching, shuttling and cheering on his grand children and great-grandchildren in their many activities over the years. He was a founding member of the Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis and could often be seen around town "peddling" tickets for their next fundraiser to help the youth in and around Hannibal. One of Roy's passions was trout fishing with his grandchildren and friends. He could sit next to the stream and fish for hours, enjoying the time with family, the atmosphere, an occasional nap, and eventually, on a good day, fresh cooked trout. Roy was also devoted to the Lord. He belonged to just three churches in his 89 years. With each he shared his gifts of teaching, leadership, and singing. Roy will be missed by the many people who have known him as family and a friend.

Pallbearers will be; James M. Lemon, William R. Lemon, Derek Young, Ben Luetkemeyer, Aaron Hall, Mike Holcom.
