Robert Baker, age 88, of Palmyra, MO passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Robert was born on October 31, 1937, in Quincy, IL, to Claude and Effie (Loveless) Baker.
He was married to Diane Baker (Brink) for 60 amazing years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane, his brother, Willie L. Baker and a sister, Anne Fletcher.
He is survived by his sone Brian Baker, many Nieces and Nephews, and very dear friends, Judy and Leon Perry.
Robert graduated from high school and immediately went into the Army. He was very proud of his service to his country.
Robert was a member of the Great River Corvette Club.
Robert, or “Uncle Bob” as he was affectionally known, loved classic cars, riding horse, taking care of animals, and tinkering with things. He could fix just about anything that was given to him. He also filled the hearts of the people around him with love and affection. It didn’t matter of you were family or not, you were important.
