Leo Hill, age 91, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 3:45 am Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Baptist Home of Ozark, MO.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park .
A visitation celebrating Leo's life will be held at 10:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday June 14, 2025 at the Calvary Baptist Church.
Leo was born on February 5, 1934, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Alvie and Goldie (Martin) Hill.
He is survived by Three Sons, Gerald Hill (Roseanna) of Lee's Summit, MO, Jeff Hill (Marianne) of France, Jay Hill (Judy) of Millers Creek, NC; Daughter, Julie Zinner (Chuck) of Springfield, MO; Two Grandsons, Josh Zinner (Kristin) of Springfield, MO, Jon Hill (Robin) of Germany; Three Granddaughters, Jenifer Cohoon (Matt) of Cordova, TN, Joann Bliss of El Paso, TX, Sarah Phillips (Ryan) of Whitehouse, TX; Seven Great-granddaughters, Steffani Hill, Charlotte Zinner, Ingrid Zinner, Lucy Zinner, Lexie Hill, Josalynn Hill, Kennedy Phillips; Six Great-grandsons, Isaac Zinner, Andrew Zinner, Tyler Bliss, Skyler Bliss, Preston Hill, Robert Phillips; .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Goldie Hill; his Wife, Leona M. Hill; Brother, Charles Hill; Sister, Kathleen Turner.
Leo graduated from Hannibal High School, and was a life long resident of Hannibal until he moved to Ozark to be close to his daughter.
Professionally Leo was a truck driver starting his career delivering furniture for Avery Birch and retiring after driving over the road for ABF.
Leo was a life long member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal.
Leo was a kind, gentle, humble man who loved the Lord, his wife, and his family and friends. His hearts desire was to share Jesus with all he met by both his teaching and his example. His family remembers going to Cardinal baseball games with him in the 60’s when they had an awesome team, and loved watching him sit on the couch studying his bible so he could teach others about God’s word. Leo loved golf, playing cards and games with his family and helping others. Most of all though Leo loved his wife Leona dearly and his favorite bible verse was John 3:16
