Kenneth L Young

Kenneth L Young, age 94, of Frankford, MO passed away at 8:10 pm Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by those who loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 5, 2026, at 11:00 am, at the Grand View Funeral Home Pastor Larry Cornellius will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.

A visitation celebrating Kenneth will be held at 10:00 am until time of the service at the Grand View Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on July 15, 1931, in Pike County to Harvey S. and Viola C. (Barker) Young.

He was united in marriage to Beverly Sue (Bowles) on September 12, 1959, at Curryville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his two daughters, Evelyn Sue Bontz, husband, Steve, and Karen Lynn Miller. Kenneth's grandchildren; Christopher Bontz and wife, Dona, Ryan Bontz and wife, Amy, Christa Myers and husband, John. Along with his six great granddaughters, eight great great grandkids, and two on the way.

He was preceded in death by wife, Beverly Sue who died on March 20, 2021, as well as his parents, in laws, and granddaughter, Cassandra Bontz. Along with three sisters; Elsie Potts, Bonnie Smith, and Annie Elizabeth, his four brothers; Roy S. Young, David W. Young, Joseph Fedrick Young, and Floyd Young.

Kenneth graduated from Frankford High in 1950. He farmed for many years while working at Hercules for 31 years. He raised cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep with the help of family. Kenneth also enjoyed gardening, being in the woods, and watching humming birds. He found great joy in spending time with family and friends on the farm.

A Veteran, Kenneth honorably served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War.

Kenneth was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he was active in teaching Sunday School.
