He is survived by his nieces and nephews: Jason Bradley of Hannibal, MO, Melissa Schunk of Indiana, Tomiann Hughes of Ohio, Lisa Rhody of Kentucky, Jessica Byard of Kansas, Robbie Calvin of Kansas, Darla Lucas of Hannibal, MO, Lori Lampton of Gulf Shores, Angel Peters of Hannibal, MO,  Patrick Barry of Quincy, IL and Stacy Dudley of Quincy, IL as well as his sister Linda L. Barry (Orville) of Quincy, IL.

Billy was a man who faced life's challenges with remarkable perseverance; although he endured difficulties throughout his life, he approached each day with an infectious joy that touched everyone around him. A true gem of a person, Billy was known for his humorous and sometimes ornery personality. He had a knack for bringing laughter to those he met, and his bull-headed nature often made for memorable moments that his family will cherish forever. His kindness and love were especially evident in his relationships with children; he embraced his childlike spirit wholeheartedly and formed endearing bonds with the young ones in his life. His quiet and peaceful demeanor made him someone who inspired serenity and comfort among family and friends.

Billy was a curious mind; very smart and always eager for the simple joys of life. He cherished his time spent outdoors, where he found solace in nature. An avid coffee enthusiast, his days were often accompanied by a cigarette and a delightful story or two, enchanting the hearts of all who listened.

Billy's journey was illuminated by the love from his family, and even in his absence, they carry forward the beautiful warmth he brought into their lives. In his final days, Billy remained a source of strength and joy, leaving behind a tapestry woven with shared memories of laughter, love, and resilience.

Billy touched many hearts during his life, and though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit remains alive in the love of his family and friends, vibrant as the laughter he so joyfully shared.
