Gary "George" Coleman, age 63, of Palmyra, MO passed away at 5:23 am Saturday, July 26, 2025, at his home.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Friday, August 1, 2025 at Grand View Burial Park. Full Military Honors will be provided by Boots-Dickson American Legion Post #174 and the United States Navy.
George was born on May 16, 1962, in Hannibal, MO. To Gary Coleman Sr and Judy Wells.
George's family was the center of his life. He leaves behind his loving wife, Debbie Coleman of Hannibal, MO, his son, Zakk Coleman (Kaitlyn Willing) of Hannibal, MO, and daughter, Brittny Moran of Palmyra, MO, His grandchildren, Makenzie and Rowan Brothers, his father, Gary Coleman Sr. (Barb Puls) of Palmyra, MO, and his mother, Judy Wells (Bill Wells) of El Mirage, AZ.; his sister, Megan Riedinger (Kenneth) of Silsbee, TX, and brother, John Coleman (Alice) of Hannibal, MO, along with many nieces and nephews.
George was a devoted and faithful man, remembered not just for his dry sense of humor but for the heartfelt connections he forged with family and friends. He served in the United States Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer, a testament to his bravery and dedication to serving others. His adventurous spirit continued beyond military service, as he found joy in riding ATVs and spending time with fellow members of the Freedom of Road Riders.
A man of many interests, George had a passion for golf, often found on the course enjoying the game he loved. He also had a discerning taste in music, though he was quick to clarify that "Not All Kinds" of music would do. He was a master of the grill and could prepare the most amazing pork loin you had ever tasted and was a founding member of the BDHR!
His loss leaves a hole in the heart and life of all who knew him and he will be forever missed.
