Rebecca Jane Cosgrove

Rebecca Jane Cosgrove, age 44, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 5:45 pm Friday, February 25, 2022, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.  

Funeral services will be held 12 o'clock noon Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Grand View Funeral Home.  Rev. Jason Young will officiate.  Burial will follow the service in the Grand View Burial Park. 

Visitation celebrating Rebecca's life will be held 10:00 am until the time of the service Thursday at the Grand View Funeral Home. 

Rebecca was born on July 11, 1977, in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of Don and Jackie (Hayes) Cosgrove.

Survivors include her father, Don Cosgrove of Hannibal, MO; aunts and uncles, Terry and Mary Hayes of Hannibal, MO; Jack Cosgrove (Bobbie) of the state of Florida and Shara Howze of the state of Florida; and numerous cousins, friends and co-workers.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, Jackie Cosgrove; maternal grandparents, Ray and Shirley Hayes, and paternal grandparents, Charles and Agnes Cosgrove.

Rebecca graduated from Palmyra High School in the class of 1996.  She previously worked at the Hannibal Clinic for 20 years and most recently at Walmart in Hannibal.

Rebecca loved her family in friends.  She enjoyed traveling with her father around the US to meet his military friends, attending Marine reunions and attending Nascar races with him.  Rebecca was very proud of her father's service as a Marine and being a Purple Heart recipient for his Honor & Courage.  Friends were also very important to Rebecca.  She enjoyed shopping with them, especially Hobby Lobby being her favorite, and attending their children's events.  Rebecca enjoyed her flowers in her yard, her animals, cooking for her family and friends, scrapbooking and when time allowed, watching the Golden Girls and Roseanne on TV.

Rebecca was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post # 2446.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Hayes, Christopher Hayes, Ben West, Sally West, Jeona Sanders, Chris Sanders, Whitney Whitley and Deland Whitley.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Pete Fee.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society, in care of the Grand View Funeral Home.
