Patricia "Pat" A. (Brothers) Calhoun

Patricia (Pat) A. Calhoun passed away April 11, 2022 in Palmyra, Mo. 

Friends and Family are invited to attend Pat's Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Grand View Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. Pastor Tom Day will officiate.

Pat was born December 4, 1931 to Donald E. Brothers and Norma A. Kempinski Brothers of Center, Mo.  She had two sisters, Marjorie J Hayden and Norma (Sue) Ellison. Sue survives. 

Pat married Donald F. Calhoun on November 11, 1951 in Perry, Mo. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2003.

They have six children, Kaye Egbert (Darrell) Hannibal, Mo, Jane Riefesel (Mike) New London, Mo, Gene Calhoun (Kathy) Palmyra, Mo, Jim Calhoun Center, Mo., Ron Calhoun (Tammy) Frankford, Mo, and Paul Calhoun (Michelle) Centralia, Mo.  Eighteen Grandchildren, Stephanie Egbert Fargo, Angela Egbert Petray, Corey Egbert, Phillip Egbert, Nikki Riefesel, Christopher Calhoun, Donald Calhoun, Pamela Calhoun, Joshua Calhoun, Jonathan Calhoun, Charise Mills Roberts, Joe Mills, Shane Calhoun, Dylan Calhoun, Jordan Calhoun, Bailey Calhoun, Heather Reid, and Braden Calhoun. and numerous great and great great grandchildren.

Pat graduated Center High School and enrolled in Kirksville College. She dropped out when her father became ill to help with the family business, Pat  worked at Center State Bank which her father was a founding member. She also worked at Bobbie Brooks Factory as a supervisor. She was on the Center Park Board for many years. She served on the board of the Francis Dunlop Clinic in Center, Mo.

Pat and Don retired and moved to Alabama, where they used their love of camping and travel to work for the Corp of Engineers as Gate Attendants. 

Pat loved books, music, animals, sewing, she had a green thumb and always had beautiful flowers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her Grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society, in care of the Grand View Funeral Home.
