"Joe" Paul Russell

“Joe“ Paul Russell, 86, of New London, MO passed away on July 27, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the Grand View Funeral Home.  Rev Jason Young will officiate.  Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.

Visitation celebrating Paul’s life will be held 10:00 am until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Paul was born on June 6, 1936, to Macil McCoy Goff and Noble Russell in Winifred, West Virginia.

He was previously married to Mary Helen White. Later to be married to Marian Sue Fette on June 6, 1997.  She survives him.

He is survived by his oldest son, Randy Joe Russell and twin daughters, Beth Ann Scott and Rebeca Lisa Hill; two stepsons, Adam Dale Hudson (Donna), Anthony Jacob Hudson (Dani) and two stepdaughters, Angela Sue Cook and Ashley Elise Hudson; two sisters, Wanda (Jerry) Fisher of West Virgina and Rosalin (Jerry) Squire of Florida; one brother, Jay Dee Russell of West Virginia; one sister-in-law, Ann Louise Fette and a brother-in-law, John William Fette.

He was proceeded in death by his mother and stepfather, Elzea Goff, his father, brothers, Fred and William and two infant brothers, sisters, Jewell, Janet, Nancy, Bernice and half-sister, Ruby, oldest daughter, Charla Marie Grafton and youngest son, Andrew Paul Russell, granddaughter, Stephanie Nicole Russell and stepson-in-law, Jason Lance Cook, his father and mother-in-law, John Raymond and Shirley Ann Fette.

He has multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1952-1958.  He worked in Uranium Mining, Law Enforcement and Security and retired in 1999. He liked to read western books and watching western shows. He also enjoyed going to car shows and fishing.

Pallbearers are Randy Russell, Adam Hudson, John Fette, Tyler Russell, Charles Russell and Angie Cook.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand View Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
