James Irving Stallings

James "Jimmy" Irving Stallings, age 66, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 12:39 pm Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his home. Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Grand View Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 30, 2022 at Grand View Funeral Home. Rev. Faye Vaughn will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park. 

James was born on October 30, 1955, in Hannibal, Missouri the son of Reuben and Alfreda (Taylor) Stallings.

Survivors include, Five Sisters, Patricia Stallings of Saint Louis, MO, Dorothy Stallings Simmons (George) of St. Louis, MO, Carolyn Gibson of St. Louis, MO, Ruby Stallings, Marsha Muwwakkil of Houston, TX; Four Brothers, Richard Stallings, Robert Stallings, Harry Perkins, John Perkins. And Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Alfreda, his Brother, Edward Stallings; and his Sister, Melinda Kraus. 

Professionally James had a very important role in the family business, Stallings Sanitation, as a Truck Driver. He loved driving truck. He also spent some time in Nebraska working for the railroad. Jimmy, as he was affectionately called, was loved by his family, was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, and a good friend to all who knew him. If you were to visit him he would make sure you left with some kind of gift. He had a giving heart and would be there for anyone in need.

James was a member of Scott's Chapel United Methodist Church.
