Ferol L (Lane) Kisor

Ferol Lorraine (Lane) Kisor, 94, died December 11, 2022, at 9:15 pm at Maple Lawn Nursing Home.
Ferol was born July 18, 1928, in Illasco, MO to Clifford and Gertrude Lane. She was the oldest of seven children.
Ferol married Howard J. Kisor Sr. on February 25, 1946. He preceded her in death as well as three brothers; Clifford, Harold, and Bobby Joe; one sister Sharon Hedgepeth, one infant child, Connie Sue and one great granddaughter, Summar Worrell. 
Ferol is survived by a brother, Roger (Paulette) of Hannibal and a sister Nancy McKinney also of Hannibal; Children, Rev. Howard J. Kisor Jr. (Mary) of Pottsville, AR; Elizabeth (Sissy) Christian of Columbia, MO; JoAnn Shanks (Tommy) of Hannibal, MO; James (Jim) Kisor of Palmyra, MO, and Cindy Stuhlman (Greg) of Wichita, KS. Ferol also enjoyed her surviving ten grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 31 great great grandchildren.
Ferol worked as a CNA at Levering Hospital on the Labor and Delivery floor. She adored helping bring new life into the world and snuggling the babies afterward. Ferol attended Providence Baptist Church and was a long-time resident of the Withers Mill community. She embraced life in the country with vigor and all that it entailed. From raising livestock and chickens; gardening and canning produce to hanging laundry on the clothesline; she did it all while raising five kids.
She loved her family fiercely and well and received it tenfold. She will be remembered for feeding any person who came to her house well, her homemade chicken and noodles and bright red lipstick. Ferol was a Christ follower and was a Sunday school and VBS teacher and helper at her church. She has left a legacy of love, laughter, and joy. 

Internment Service will be at Grandview Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 12 noon with a dinner following at Providence Baptist church for all family and friends.
In leu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Grandview Funeral Home to assist with the funeral expenses.
