David Lee Bates

David Lee Bates, age 56, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 12:26 pm Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at his home.  

There will be no services held at this time.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by the Grand View Funeral Home & Burial Park of Hannibal. 

David was born on June 20, 1966, in Davenport, IA the son of Franklin E. and Carol L. (Clark) Bates, Jr.

Survivors include a brother, Ronald E. Bates (Melissa) of Hannibal, MO and several cousins and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death y his parents.

David graduated from Hannibal High School in 1985.  He had worked most his life as a general laborer around the Hannibal area.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, building drag cars and drag racing.  When he wasn't able to be outside working on his cars, David enjoyed building model cars, airplanes and his Lionel Trains.  Family and friends were a big part of David's life, he cherished the time spent with them.
