Dale Hayes, age 68, of Hannibal, MO, passed away at 10:00 pm Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at New Hope Gospel Center, located at 1009 Lyon St. in Hannibal. Rev. Lindell Shumake will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.
A visitation celebrating Dale's life will be held at 9:00 am until time of service, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the New Hope Gospel Center.
Dale was born on November 14, 1954, the son of Robert and Nadine (Ingram) Hayes.
He is survived by his son Adam Hayes of Hannibal, MO; Two Brothers, Terry Hayes (Sally) of Hannibal, MO, David Hayes of AL; Two Sisters, Joyce Allen of Hannibal, MO, Lisa Runyon (Calvin) of Hannibal, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Two Brothers, Bobby Hayes, Larry Hayes; and his Sister, Darla Graham.
Dale graduated with the HHS Class of 1973.
Professionally Dale worked as a draftsman.
Dale was a member of New Hope Gospel Center.
Dale loved Civil War reenactments and enjoyed doing them with his son Adam. Dale was very social and loved to be around people. He was an accomplished musician and played guitar and sang. He was in several bands, and played often at his church doing specials and helping in worship. He had an amazing guitar collection. Dale loved the Lord, and his son Adam more than anything else in the world. He will be missed by all who were touched by his life.
