Carolyn Jean Schwanke, 74, Hannibal, MO, died at 2:43 p.m. on September 3, 2020, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, Hannibal, MO.
A private family service will be held at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO. Masks are required.
Carolyn was born on June 11, 1946, in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of John and Alma Stull. She married William Schwanke on November 27, 1976, and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Harold Sims, George Sims, Bob Sims, Harold Stone and Elmer Stone; five sisters, Patricia Stone, Bertha Bloodgood and Rosie Sparks, Audrey Morgan and Almeda Willhausen; one stepdaughter, Charlene Schwanke; and two stepsons, Richard Schwanke and James Schwanke.
She is survived by two sisters, Ethel Vincent and Darlene Brashears; four daughters, Melody Johnston, Jenny LaForce, Carol Jameson and Tina Ward; three stepdaughters, Diana Goodman, Margaret St. Clair and Nora Meadows; one son, Brent Schwanke; two stepsons, Bill Schwanke and Danny Schwanke; and 30 plus grandchildren.
She was a Christian by faith. She enjoyed quilting at the Beth Haven Quilting Club and playing cards. She loved fishing with her husband and Grandkids.
Brandon Essig, John Johnston, Evan Jameson, Chandler Waelder, Austin Ward and Chase Jameson will serve as pallbearers.
