On Friday, September 15, 2017 Heaven rejoiced when one of God's children entered His gate. Wilma Yvonne Miller made her final journey home to be with her Lord and her loved ones that went before her.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastors Pat Smith and Roger Lane will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Yvonne was born on May 10, 1930, in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of William and Wilma "Gould" Schwanke. She married Everette Miller on July 30, 1949, after meeting him on a blind date. Together they had twelve children during their 60 years of marriage. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Wayne and Lowell Miller; two daughters, Cheryl Butler and Connie S. Miller; two brothers, John and Bill Schwanke; two great grandchildren, Mia Warfield and Kylee Butler; one sister-in law, Shirley Schwanke; two brothers-in-law, Duane Puester and Jay Parrick; two sons-in-law, Danny Pursifull and John Butler and a special family friend Phil Stephens.
Yvonne is also survived by three sons, Marvin (Vicki) Miller, Gary (Lori) Miller and Darrell Miller and his special friend Tammy; five daughters, Rita Pursifull, Bonnie (Alvin) Richards III, Paula (Johnny) Nelson, Laura Miller, and Dori ( Michael) Miller; two brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) Schwanke, and Dean Schwanke; seven sisters, Patsy Miller, Bettie Geist and special friend Jay, Melba (John) Bowles, Martha (Donald) Gough, Ardyth Parrick, Margaret (Lyndell) Crabill, and Evelyn Puester; two daughters-in-law, Connie Miller and Debbie Miller; two sisters-in-law, Mary Epperson and Carolyn Schwanke; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Yvonne was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. Not only did she adore and cherish her own children and family, but anyone who entered her open door.
Yvonne's favorite passtime was playing cards, crossword, word search puzzles and reading books. She was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and Molina was her favorite player.
Yvonne always looked forward to spending time with her seven sisters on their special weekend.
Yvonne will be truly missed by her family and friends. Memorials may be sent to the Community Loving Care Hospice.
