William "Bill" Cornilus

William "Bill" Cornelius , 86, of New London, MO, died at 9:26 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at his home in New London, MO.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2015, at the Salem Baptist Church of Center. Pastors Jim Miller and Bill Dexheimer will officiate. Burial will follow at the Salem Cemetery in Center.

Bill was born on February 7, 1929, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Ollie and Lillie James Cornelius. He married Reva Cragen on September 28, 1952, and she survives him.

His parents and three sisters, Virginia Bramlett, Arnett Lairn and Kathren Cornelius preceded him in death.

He is survived by one brother, Glenn (Shirley) Cornelius of Hannibal, MO; one daughter, Cheralinn (Eddie) Van Sickle of New London, MO; two sons, Leslie (Dicki) Cornelius and Larry Cornelius both of New London, MO; five grandchildren, Rachel (Matt) Munzlinger, Sarah Cornelius (Fiancé Russ Hein), Chrystal (Marshal) Brown, Corey Cornelius, Cierra Van Sickle and four great grandchildren, Lauren Munzlinger, Lydia Munzlinger, Owen Brown and Abby Brown.

Bill was a member and deacon of the Salem Baptist Church of New London. He served in the Army and Army Reserves. He ran his own farm and was a co-owner of Crop Builders Plus, Inc. Bill was a 50 year mason and had served on the Farmers's Coop. He enjoyed decorating cakes, but loved playing the bass and was a member of several bands including .......

Bill will be greatly missed by family and friends
