William Leroy Betts, 59, of Hannibal, MO, died at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Dan Bender will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
William was born on April 22, 1957, in Hannibal, MO, the son of Edward and Mary Althiser Betts. He married Delores Hile in 1975, and she survives. He then married Elizabeth Berry, and she preceded him in death. He married Linda St. Clair in 1991 and she survives.
His parents preceded him in death, along with an infant son, Brandon, and both sets of grandparents.
He is survived by four sons, William Betts II, William Edgar, James Betts and Anthony Betts; three daughters, Jean "Jennifer" Robinson, Amanda Griffin and Jennifer Betts; three brothers, Steve Betts, Emerson Betts and James Betts; and with 17 grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Anthony Betts, Sean Griffin, Bill Edgar, Steven McMillen, Kenny Kelso and Travis St. Clair
After serving in the Marine Corps William owned and operated the Westside Cab Company in Hannibal.
