Vicky was born on November 28, 1949, in Hannibal, Missouri, to Andrew and Leona (Carter) Riggs.

Vicky’s life was one illuminated by compassion, service, and unwavering faith. From a young age, Vicky’s vibrant spirit shone through every endeavor she undertook. She blazed new trails as a member of the founding team for the first radiology department at the Troy, MO hospital—a testament to her dedication and pioneering heart. Her career also saw her in the skies as a flight attendant, and later as an urgent care provider, each role an opportunity for her to care fiercely and advocate for those in need. Especially as a medical worker, Vicky was known for going the extra mile, never hesitating to stand up for her patients and ensuring their voices were heard. Her colleagues and those she cared for will remember her as a steadfast advocate and a source of unwavering strength.

Vicky’s capacity for friendship and kindness knew no bounds. During her time as a flight attendant, her warmth and humor led her to remarkable friendships, including with Peter, Paul, and Mary, and even with the band Led Zeppelin. These memories—colorful and exuberant—reflect the wide reach of her generosity and joy.

But beyond her professional and social accomplishments, Vicky’s essence was woven deeply into her roles as a wife, mother, and friend. She was happiest giving of herself, always putting others first, and offering help whenever it was needed. Her energy and humility were constants in her daily life. She especially treasured moments spent with her beloved husband, Mack Miller Jr.—their simple dates at Quick Trip were a cherished ritual, filled with laughter and love.

A woman of abiding faith, Vicky loved the Lord with all her heart and let that love shine through her actions, touching lives with her compassion and steadfast presence.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mack Miller Jr., their son, Jonathan Miller, daughter, Beth Overton (Trent) grandchildren, Anna and Alex, and a sister, Patricia Durr.

We will forever cherish the laughter, the stories, and the love that Vicky so freely gave—her legacy lives on in every life she touched.
