Vernon A Finlaw Jr.

Vernon Alton Finlaw Jr., age 59, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 3:21 am Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Columbia University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Grand View Funeral Home. Randy Drish will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.

A visitation celebrating Vernon's life will be held at 10:00 am until time of service, Saturday April 1, 2023 at the Grand View Funeral Home.

Vernon was born on June 3, 1963, in Hannibal, Missouri the son of Vernon and Dorothy (Jacobs) Finlaw.

He is survived by his father, Vernon Sr. of Hannibal, and Step Brother, Larry Brown of Hannibal.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Dorothy; Brother, David Ezra Finlaw and his Step Brother, Randy Brown.

Professionally Vernon worked as a Machinist for Hannibal Carbide.

Vernon was a member of the All Bikers Association.

Vernon was a member of The Crossing of Hannibal.

Vernon always had a smile on his face. He loved collecting guns and knives, assembling model cars, re-enactments of medieval times where he would dress up in full armor with sword and shield. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers at Smurf Woods flying through the mud, and was an avid motorcycle rider. His cats were his babies, and on the weekends he would spend his mornings drinking coffee with his best friends Larry and Amy. Most of all Vernon was a simple man who showed everyone he met love, kindness, and generosity.
