Stephen K. McDowell, 69, of New London, MO, died at 9:28 a.m. on July 27, 2018, at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Funeral service will be August 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Bruce Bouman officiating.
Stephen was born on October 7, 1948, in LaGrange, MO, the son of Roy and Adabel Job McDowell. He married Linda Wallace on April 24, 1970, and she survives.
His parents, and a sister, Charlotte Miner, preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, Russell (Carmen) McDowell and Scott (Becky) McDowell; one brother, Brad McDowell; two sisters, Myrna Hoteling and Marsha White; and three grandchildren, Reid McDowell, Ross McDowell and Ryan McDowell.
Stephen served in the U S Marines which he was very proud of. He was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and had a great passion for hunting. More than anything he loved his grandchildren.
Stephen will be greatly missed by family and friends
