Robert Eugene Riney
August 16, 1931 — August 13, 2015
Robert "Bob" Eugene Riney Sr, 83, died at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at his residence in Hannibal, MO.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the New London, MO POPS club. A graveside service will follow immediately at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO.
Robert "Bob" was born on August 26, 1931, in Hannibal, MO, the son of John A. and Lela McDaniel Riney. He married Geraldine M. Stringer; they divorced after 40 years. She survives.
His parents; three brothers, James and William Riney and Benjamin Cox; three sisters, Helen Nickason , Mildred McCarty and Merida Tigert preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sons, Robert (Robert Sronce) Riney Jr. of Quincy, IL and Gary (Linda Daniels) Riney of Hannibal, MO; two daughters, Linda (Gary) Kerns, of Frankford, MO and Shelbi (Michael) Otto from Quincy, IL; and five grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Bob was also survived by Mildred Osborn, a special friend for 24 years.
Bob was an auto mechanic for many years before retirement, president of the Moose Lodge, a member of Elks and life time member of the POPS Club.
Bob will be sadly missed by family and friends.
