Phillip C. Jorenby, 87, of Panama City, FL, died at 3:58 p.m. on May 22, 2020 at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held May 28, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. at Tabernacle of Praise in Hannibal, Pastor Allen Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at Grand View Burial Park
Phillip was born on October 3, 1932, in Blanchardville, WI, the son of Howard and Mary Paulson Jorenby. He married Willyn Heye on June 5, 1956, in San Antonio, TX, and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bob Jorenby and Junior Jorenby and two sisters, Mary Hiltunen and Ruth Schlieve.
He is survived by one son, William Jorenby; one daughter, Lisa (Randy) Steinbrueck; two grandchildren, Faith (Jack) O'Connor and Joy (Daniel) Kimbril; and one great grandchild, Jackson O'Connor.
Phillip served in the United States Airforce for 20 years. He trained as a fighter pilot, then during his two tours in Vietnam in the Radar Center Control unit, retiring as a Major. Phillip was a founder of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church of Panama City, FL, and served as an elder, a Sunday school teacher and on the church council. He also loved fishing.
Serving as pallbearers are Randy Steinbrueck, William Jorenby, Pastor Jack O'Connor, Rev. Mike Neff, Daniel Kimbril and Pastor Corey Allen.
