Kenneth was Born to Kenneth Cyr Scheu Sr. and Martha Louise (Rider) on December 9, 1959 in Hannibal, MO.

K.C.'s heart belonged to his longtime girlfriend Elsie and her children Christany, Christopher, and Haley, who brought him endless joy. Nothing lit up his world quite like his grandson Elijah. K.C. is also survived by his sister Suzan Boyd (John); brothers Terry Scheu (Jennifer) and Steve Scheu; nephew Johnny Boyd (Sierra); nephew TJ Scheu (Ashleigh); and niece Jenna Deken (Patrick).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Cyr Scheu Sr. and Martha Louise Rider Scheu, and his grandparents Kenneth and Gertrude Scheu.

K.C. was a man who lived for the thrill of the bet and the warmth of good company, he was famous for telling his brother Steve, “You need to gamble every day because you never know when your lucky day is going to be.” , K.C. spent more than thirty years as a familiar and dependable face at Boyd Gaming, where his quick wit and easy smile brightened countless shifts. K.C. could read a racing form like a poet reads the sky. He loved playing the horses, calculating odds with a sharp eye and a sharper grin. On his days off you’d find him on the golf course, making the chains rattle in Frisbee golf, rolling strikes at the bowling lanes, or soaking up the sun on a beach with the people he loved most. K.C. cherished his lifelong friends (too many to name, but never forgotten) and the memories they built together over cold beers, long shots, and perfect days. Though he’s folded his last hand, K.C.’s laughter still echoes on the fairways and across the sand. His seat may be empty, but his luck lives on in everyone who knew him.
