June Finney, age 89, of New London, MO passed away at 6:46 am Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the home of her son, with her loving family by her side.

June will have a gravesite burial on Monday August 17, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Grand View Burial Park.

June was born on December 13, 1936, in Rensselaer, Missouri to Ed and Eva Irene (Stroud) Peterson.

She was united in marriage to Jack Finney on July 14, 1956, in Hannibal, MO, he precedes her death.

She is survived by her son, James Finney (Debbie) of New London, MO; Grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler Finney of New London, Robbie Finney of Hannibal, Meghan, Bubba, Cheyenne Finney; Nephew, Nick Powers; Grandniece, Brandi Turner, Great-grandson Charlie Finney; Great-granddaughter, Chrissy Finney;

She was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Eva, her husband Jack, Son, Alan Lee Finney; grandson James A Finney; twin Sister, Joan Powers; Two Nieces, Brenda Powers and Becky Stolte.

June was affectionately called "Juney Bug" by her family and was the most loving and caring mother and grandmother that a family could have. She took the true profession of homemaker to a higher level. Juney Bug's children and grandchildren never wanted for anything and always felt loved and adored. She loved to start every morning with her cup of black coffee. She was always cooking and her delicious peanut butter cookies would always be fresh. June always had an ear ready for any problem or joy that needed to be shared. She was perpetually 39 on every birthday, and no one even questioned that fact as her heart and warmth never dissipated. She loved to shop at thrift stores and garage sales and enjoyed reading a good biography book. Juney Bug will be remembered forever and greatly missed.
