Genevieve "Jenny" V. Jones, 96, of Hannibal, MO, died at 7:18 p.m. on October 8, 2017, at the Beth Haven Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Service will follow at 2 p.m. Pastor Steve Goughnour will officiate.
Genevieve was born on December 9, 1920, in Glasgow, MO, the daughter of Jacob Claude and Avel Fisher Shively. She married Charles T. Jones on Sept 7, 1937, and he preceded her in death.
Her parents; a brother, Carl Shively; and two sisters, Emma Jean Shively and Doris Ann Jones, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Becky Bellemare of Fort Worth, TX; a brother, Harlan Lee "Shorty" (Helen) Shively of Hannibal, MO; a sister, Evelyn Kropf of Mexico, MO; two grandchildren Carrie (DJ) Boucher of Kaysville, UT; and Zachary Bellemare of Fort Worth, TX; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Jenny was a member of the Eastern Star in Glasgow, MO, and a Methodist by faith. She worked for Henderson Produce in Monroe City, MO., waitressed at several restaurants and cashiered at a grocery store in Glasgow, MO.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Bellemare, DJ Boucher, James Kropf, Steve Shively, Louie Frosch, and Jerry Liby.
