Ethel Mae Carroz

Ethel Mae Carroz, 92, formerly of New London, MO, died at 7:10 p.m. on January 16, 2018, at her daughter's home in Auxvasse, MO.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 20, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Milton Baumgardner officiating.
Ethel was born on August 14, 1925, in Ellsinore, MO, the daughter of Thomas and Hester Caruthers Secrease. She married Fred Carroz Sr. on August 26, 1943, and he preceded her in death.
Her parents; a brother, Clinton Secrease; and a son, Fred Carroz Jr., preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters; Barbara Simpson and Shirley Morris; one brother, Bobby Secrease; a sister, Gena Fay Secrease; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Ethel worked with her husband cutting and hauling timber, and maintaining a large garden. In her later years she worked as the head cook for the Lake Village Restaurant where she was known for her pies.
