Catherine Julia Gregg, 83, died at 10:14 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at her son's home, in Hannibal, MO.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Holy Family Cemetery in Hannibal. Pastor Joe Thrower will officiate.
Catherine was born on April 6, 1932, in Hannibal, MO, the daughter of J. Francis and Delores Walker Greenville. She married Edward Lee Gregg, Sr. on August 23, 1952 and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1958. Her parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary S. (Chuck) Klein of Hannibal; one son, Edward L. (Jo) Gregg Jr. of Hannibal; four grandchildren, Robbie Klein, Ben (Melissa) Klein, Chris (Ashley) Klein and Edward (Aimee) Gregg III; three great grandchildren, Addison Klein, Abigail Klein and Mckenzie Wheeler.
Catherine attended Hannibal Catholic schools. She also attended Fontbonne College near St. Louis. Catherine had many joys in her life. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader. She also saw many live theatre productions. She was especially fond of the Muny Theatre near St. Louis, Missouri. She was a former employee of Motorola Inc. in Quincy, Illinois, and Levering Hospital and Beth Haven Nursing Home, both in Hannibal. She was a Catholic by faith. Catherine was saved and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Savior prior to her passing. She will be sadly missed by her family.
