Velma Jean Andersen, 87, of Hannibal, MO, died at 6:30 p.m. on November 19, 2018, at the Beth Haven Nursing Center in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Funeral services will be December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Goodman officiating.
Velma was born on Tuesday, January 27, 1931, in Clarence, MO the daughter of Bert and Nettie Stalcup Stevenson. She married John Andersen who preceded her in death.
Her parents; a brother, Albert Stevenson; a daughter, Cathy Baslow; and a grandchild, Rachel Baslow, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Carol Wallen; three grandchildren, Shawn (Janice) Wallen, Russell (Elise) Baslow and Maggie Baslow; and four great grandchildren, Katie Wallen, Matthew Wallen, Hannah Baslow and Braydon Baslow.
Velma was a member of the Hydesburg United Methodist Church of Hannibal. She worked for Kirlins Hallmark store in Hannibal for 20 years before her retirement.
Condolences may be placed on the Grand View website. Memorials maybe given to the First United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
