Shirley Schwanke Obituary
Shirley S. Schwanke, 75, of Hannibal, MO, died at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Glenn Hammond will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Shirley was born on January 17, 1940, in McCausland, IA, the daughter of Emery and Fina Fuller Stichter. She married Joseph Schwanke on January 23, 1959 and he survives her in death.
Her parents; three brothers, Donald, Roger and Darrel; a grandson Troy and a great grandson Joshua preceded her in death.
She is survived by one sister, Virginia Martin; four brothers, Gary Stichter, Randy Stichter, William Stichter and Rick Stichter; seven daughters, Deanna (Kenneth) Griffin of Quincy, IL, Arnetta (Otis) Gauch of Hannibal, MO, Tammy (Don) Miller of Illinois City, IL, Tracey (Hal) Spencer of Marshfield, MO, Tonia (Gene) Street of Pittsfield, IL, Teri (Dan) Verwers of Muscatine, IA and Trina Ward of Muscatine, IA; 27 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Don Miller, Dan Verwers, Kenny Griffin, Gene Street and Otis Gauch. Honorary pallbearers are Hal Spencer and the grandchildren.
