Jessie Fleming Obituary
Jesse E. Fleming, 79, of New London, MO, died at 2:14 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Hannibal Regional Hospital, in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Alan Clark will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Jesse was born on October 9, 1935, in Essex, IA the son of Glen and Roxie Howard Fleming. He ma1009rried Dorothy Whelan on June 3, 1961 in Perry, MO and she survives him.
His parents, one son, Jesse Fleming Jr.; one brother, Donald Fleming and one sister, Shirley Sides preceded him in death.
He is survived by one son, Daryle (Julie) Fleming of Hawaii; one daughter, Tracy (Yancy) Yakes of New London, MO; three brothers, Jack (Sue) Fleming of AR, Gary Fleming of IA and Bob (Carol) Fleming of LA; six grandchildren, Leslie Yakes, Melissa Yakes, Shane (Samantha) Yakes, Rachel Fleming, Sharon Fleming and Jeff Fleming and six great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Scott Geiler, Monte Wells, Scott Geiler Jr, Allen Masengill, Shane Yakes and Andrew Geiler.
Jesse was an avid gardener and enjoyed the local farmers market. He worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for over 30 years and attended The 1st Assembly of God church.
Jesse will be sadly missed by family and friends.
