Earnest Mundle Obituary
Earnest "Bunk" Mundle, 84, of New London, MO, died at 4:07 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra, MO.
Visitation will be Monday, June 19, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Richard Epperson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Earnest was born on May 5, 1933, in Bush, MO, the son of Paul Richard and Dorothy Wheeler Mundle. He married Donna Jeffries on December 11, 1956, in Hannibal, MO, and she survives.
His parents, Bill Mundle, and two sisters, Freida Mueller and Anna Bernice Mundle preceded him in death.
Bunk is also survived by one son; Butch (Jeana) Mundle of Frankford, MO; one daughter, Debbie (Chuck) Ehret of Hannibal, MO; four brothers, Albert (Sandra) Mundle of Hannibal, MO, Richard (Linda) Mundle of New London, MO, Gene (Lois) Mundle of New London, MO and Dave (Sue) Mundle of Hannibal, MO; one sister, Barb (Earl) Coolbeth of Hardwick, VT; six grandchildren, Michelle (Jim) Acree, Chris (Vikki) Mundle, Brandi Ehret, Heath Ehret, Allison Ehret and Joe Ehret.
Pallbearers are Chris Mundle, Jim Acree, Mike Jeffries, Heath Ehret, Scott Mann and Bill Hedgepath.
Bunk loved working his farm and spending time with his family. He and Donna attended the Salt River Christian Church. He was also a member of the Ralls County 33 Masonic Lodge and worked for RCEC as a lineman for 39 years.
Memorials may be sent to the St. Jude's Children Hospital. Condolences may be sent to [email protected].
