Albert Barnard, 75 of New London, MO, died at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at his home.
Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Kenneth Schamber will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Albert was born on May 31, 1939, in Calhoun County, IL, the son of Arthur and Dollie Bookier Barnard. He married Lora Billings on January 20, 1961.
His parents and two brothers, Delbert Barnard and Don Barnard, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, James (Allison) Barnard of Hannibal, MO, Christopher Barnard of Hannibal, MO and Corey Barnard of Hannibal, MO; four daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Epperson of Ophein, IL, Connie Barnard of Hannibal, MO,Cheryl (Dennis) Williams of Quincy, IL and Jennifer (Kim Schnitzer) Barnard of Hannibal, MO; two brothers, Dorus Barnard of Ewing, MO and Alvin Barnard of San Antonio, TX; ten grandchildren, Erin Hedges, Stephanie Epperson, Wesley Epperson, Brandon Epperson, Brandi Epperson, Gabrielle Esselman, Nicole Esselman, Dashavon Givens, Wyatt Johnson and Dylan Johnson and one great granddaughter, Nevaeh Epperson.
Albert worked for the Missouri Highway Department for over 40 years. He was an active bowler with the American Legion Bowling League and a life long Cardinals fan.
