Dorothy Mozell Jackson, 97, of Hannibal, MO, died at 11:05 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Luther Manor Nursing Center, in Hannibal, MO.
Mozell was born on May 13, 1919, in Jacksonville, MO, the daughter of Ben and Eva Summers Davison. She married Cole Jackson on November 12, 1966, in Hannibal, MO and he survives.
Her parents; one daughter, Barbara Gaines; two sons, Russell Jones Jr. and Donald Jones; one brother, Everett Davison; three sisters, Bernice Lesley, Mary Megown and Effie Mae Ballow also preceded her in death.
She is survived by five grandchildren; Chris (Erica) Gaines of New London, MO, Sheri (Steve Drewel) Wood of Palmyra, MO, Matt Gaines of Plattsburg, MO, Roger (Christy) Jones of Lees Summit, MO and Christy (Chris) George of Springfield, MO; four great grandchildren, Erin (Philip) Krupps, Emily Wood, Brooklyn Gaines and Kaitlyn (Joey) Underhill; one great great grandchild, Crew Shade; a son-in-law, Cecil Gaines; and her partner, Charles Sheldon.
The Family will hold a private service at a later date.
