Kevin McSmith Obituary
Kevin T. McSmith, 33, of Hannibal, MO, died at 5:09 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital, in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be Monday, March 14, 2016 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on March 14, 2016, at Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. A private graveside service for the family will be at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Kevin was born on April 28, 1982, in Albuquerque, NM, the son of Dr. William and Carol Hengstenberg McSmith. He married Heather Hazelwood on June 14, 2003, in Carlinville, IL, and together they have two children, Sophia and Ethan.
He is survived by his wife and two children; his parents, Dr. William and Carol McSmith of Haskell, TX; a brother, Chris (Debi) McSmith of Williamsburg, VA; a sister, Marci Bailey of Fayetteville NC; his in-laws, Richard and Gail Hazelwood of Girard, IL; two sisters in-law, Patricia (Michael) Huff of Fulton, MO and Aprille (Michael) Kuhur of Girard, IL; along with 13 nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Chris McSmith, Oran Woodworth, Mike Huff, Mike Kuhur, Gabriel Huff and Solomon Huff.
Kevin graduated from Hannibal LaGrange University and started Prodigy Surveillance. He enjoyed playing guitar and had been a member of the Calvary worship team. Kevin will be sadly missed by family and friends
A memorial has been established for the McSmith children's future education needs. Gifts can be given to Calvary Baptist Church, McSmith Educational Fund.
