Dora Horstmeyer Obituary
Dora A. Horstmeyer, 89, of Hannibal, MO, died at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Beth Haven Nursing Home, in Hannibal, MO.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will follow at the Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Dora was born on August 1, 1926, in Hull, IL, the daughter of Dora "Dode" and Pearl Allensworth Wilson. She married Everett Horstmeyer in June of 1946 and he preceded her in death.
Her parents; one brother, John W. Wilson; and one daughter, Diana Jo Yager also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Bob (Ruth) Horstmeyer of Kinderhook, IL; one daughter, Tamera Sue Greer of Clinton, OK; two grandchildren, Joshua P. Baker and Aimee Jo Slaick; one step grandchild,
Robert Ingram; one great grandchild, Kailyn M. Slaick and many nieces and nephews.
Dora was a true prayer warrior for many people and family members. Dora was very active in both The Birth Right and the Right To Life organizations, saving many unborn and their mothers. The family is comforted knowing she was a born again Christian and is now flying with God's angels and singing in His choir.
She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
